Wild Plumbago in the wild tends to clamber up other plants and in the garden can be planted as a plant that can be trained to climb trellises, fences, the boots of Cabbage Palm, etc. It also makes a great mounding ground cover with out anything to climb and some regular shaping. Plumbago has sprays of small white flowers on the end of its branches.This is a native larval host plant for the Cassius Blue Butterfly.
Typically, Wild Plumbago grows in shadowy hammocks and is well adapted to filtered light, but can adapt to some sun.
