Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow is one of the finest landscape shrubs for South Florida. It forms a dense, upright-oval plant 6-10' tall at maturity; spread is 4-6'. From November through March, the plant is covered with small, lightly fragrant flowers that go through a unique color change: they open deep violet, fade to lavender, and then turn white before dropping. The multicolored effect is striking both as a specimen shrub or en masse in borders or informal hedges. The winter blooming nature of the plant makes it a valuable addition to the garden to bridge the color gap between fall bloomers and spring bloomers.
Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow is very easy to grow: simply give it a well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. It is not demanding as far as fertilizer and watering, but will reward extra care with a more lavish foliage and flower display.
