Bridal bouquet plumeria is unique in two respects. The plants have leaves all up and down the stems instead of just on the tips; and it is more reliably evergreen in South Florida, although in times of heavy drought it will shed some leaves. It is also much more compact and dense than standard plumeria, seldom growing taller than 12' and about half as wide. The shrub is upright and narrow with a vase-shaped crown. The flowers are a striking pure white, with a yellow throat, and are held at branch tips like a series of bridal bouquets, hence the common name. It will bloom repeatedly throughout the year but most heavily in the hot spring and summer months.
Bridal bouquet is a relatively fast grower and easy to grow. It requires full sun sun and a well-drained soil but is not picky about watering and can handle some drought. Plumerias don't like wet soil, so good drainage is important. Fertilization should be done primarily during the warmer months when the plant is actively growing.
